ABANTU joined the Citizens Platform on Constitutional Review on June 16, 2026, for a CSO convention on Ghana’s Constitutional Reform, focusing on Natural Resources & Environment.
The meeting, facilitated by CDD-Ghana, STAR-Ghana Foundation, Democracy Hub, and A Rocha Ghana, discussed making environmental protections enforceable, criminalizing ecocide, and closing gaps on the Polluter Pays Principle, an Environmental Court, and the Right to a Healthy Environment.
Participants agreed on unified recommendations and an engagement strategy for the President’s office, CRIC, and Parliament.
The convention concluded with all organizations represented signing an outcome document affirming a collective CSO position for submission.
